Notable engagements have included performances at The Hollywood Improv, Punch Line Houston, Laugh Factory Chicago, the Asian Comedy Festival, the Borscht Belt Festival, and the NY Queer Comedy Festival.
As a speaker, Jonah has appeared at universities, cultural institutions, corporations, and philanthropic organizations across the country, bringing his distinctive mix of humor and storytelling to conversations about identity, philanthropy, the arts, adoption, and belonging.
In his NYC solo show debut, But Where Are You Really From?, Jonah hilariously explores what it means to be Asian, Jewish, gay, adopted, raised in the Midwest, a former opera singer, and a recovering nonprofit executive. Through sharp, deeply personal stand-up about race, family, religion, sexuality, adoption, and belonging, Jonah takes on the identities we inherit, the ones we choose, and what happens when your answer to “What are you?” requires several follow-up questions.
Hosted by Sarah Goss, with a featured performance by Drew Tessier (Netflix).
